Exciting New Energy Efficiency Project

BATSICCHA are extremely excited to announce commencement of a new and exciting initiative we are rolling out - the Home Energy Efficiency and Literacy Program. This program targets BATSICCHA tenants and is designed to help you save money, reduce energy use, and make your home more comfortable, all while caring for Country and supporting our environment.

Why Are We Doing This?

Energy efficiency is about using less energy while maintaining the same level of comfort in your home. By managing energy wisely, we can save you and your family money, protect the environment, and continue working towards a better future for our families and communities.

As part of this project, you will:

• Save Money: Lower your energy bills by making simple changes in your home.

• Live Comfortably: Keep your home cool in summer and warm in winter without overusing energy.

• Support Family and Community: Make your home more efficient, benefiting both your household and the environment.

• Care for Country: Reduce waste and pollution while honouring traditional values of sustainability and caring for community.

What’s Included? There are a range of tools, resources, and support - including:

1. Energy Training Package:

   • Online and printed training materials for energy literacy and efficiency.

   • A self- assessment tool to find energy-saving opportunities in your home.

   • Handy resources to help you develop your literacy and understanding.

2. Access to Discounts:

   • We are partnering with major retailers to offer discounts on energy-efficient products, such as LED lights, water-saving appliances and a heap of other things.

3. Support:

   • You’ll have the option to access in-home visits from maintenance people covering all aspects of energy use, from heating and cooling to water efficiency and gardening.

Look out for materials and updates in your mailbox and email inboxes, with BATSICCHA recently completing the mail out of all training and feedback documents.

Our ‘Resources’ section below now includes online versions of these documents. Please read the information and user guide, which provides important information on the different steps and stages to the project, and the order in which documents are to be read and or completed.
